The documents remain stored on your PC so they can always be accessed and edited, even disconnected from the network.

A green tick indicates the document is safely stored in the repository.

You can commit changes you make to the documents back into the subversion reository by right clicking on the file (or folder) and selecting "SVN Commit.."
